Who We Are
Umawar Investment Group (Umawar Group) is a holding company comprising various business units based in Jakarta, Indonesia since 1978. With plenty of professional experience and strong reputation during more than four decades of running a property business, Umawar Group managed to build its portfolio and survive through domestic and global economic crises.
Umawar Group is a family-owned, professionally-run business. The company is currently managed by the family’s third generation, consisting of young professionals with international education background and work experience in multinational companies. Umawar Group is also supported by exceptional employees as our partners for further development. By adopting the values of family and professionalism, our employees work together to make Umawar Group a solid team.
Founded company
PT Umawar Isasabluza was founded by Mr. Umar Mulachela, a hardworking and visionary man from Palembang. “To do is to share” and “Business ethics” are the main principles held true by Umawar’s founder.
Business Expansion
we expanded our property business to build low-rise office buildings such as Mampang Plaza and Umawar Center and shop-houses amongst others. The projects particularly attracted tenants which are multinational companies that had just entered Indonesia.
Partnership and established
Umawar entered into partnership and established PT Loka Mampang Indah Realty (LMIR) as managing and majority owner, which then developed Arkadia Apartments in Mampang and Arkadia Office Park at TB Simatupang.
Culinary business
Umawar started to expand to the culinary business and entered into partnership to established PT Amanah Prima Indonesia. One of the products launched was Toza juice, which successfully entered the hotel, restaurant and café sector.
New generation
A third generation of successors began managing Umawar. This was in line with the company’s spirit of being open to innovations and development. Reforms, business expansions and quality improvements were made while still maintaining the values of hard work, social responsibility and credibility.
Expanded office building
Umawar expanded its office building business and entered into partnership to establish PT Bhumyamca Sekawan as the developer of CIBIS Business Park. CIBIS Business Park is a project of 12 hectares comprising office blocks, apartments, a retail center, a convention hall, and green open spaces.
The new wave
PT Umawar Isasabluza was rebranded into Umawar Investment Group (Umawar Group) as the holding company. Many more projects undertaken by Umawar’s property developments departments. Umawar Group created a property online marketing platform under the brand of Ruma.id

Ruma Group
Ruma Group is a premier landed property Brand that specializes in end-to-end property ecosystem developing and managing high-quality landed properties. The first phase was started in 2006 but since 2018 the Group branch out into Ruma ID which is a platform that enables interaction between Agent, Bank and most importantly buyers and has become one of the most respected and sought-after landed property developers in the region. Ruma now provides ecosystem for landed residential. The chain starts with: Ruma Tana, Ruma Investasi and Ruma ID
Ruma Development consist 5 are PT Umawar Supra Realty, PT Umawar Karsa Realty, PT Umawar Kreata Property, PT Umawar Kifa Realty and PT Umawar Mitra Realty. Umawar Group controls the majority of shares in this line of business.
Since 2022, Ruma started to enter Ruma Builder, to help speed-up, improve quality and efficiency of the building. Ruma also has intention to grow the service into estate management to help client manage their homes.
Umawar Group Foundation
Umawar Group Foundation is in Umawar Group’s DNA. The company’s founder’s principle, “to do is to share”, means that the goal of every single business unit run by Umawar Group is to share and contribute to others in the community and to the country. Umawar Group Foundation is very important to us.
In every period, Umawar Group sets targets not based on how much profit can be gained, or how many assets can be accumulated, or how many projects can be completed. Our main benchmark is how much we can give back, and we are dedicated to become better and contribute more as time progresses.
